April 8th saw the release of a brand new album by John Douglas Clark.
"Unwinder" is a laid back collection of instrumentals. The album launch coincided with a large scale concert of John's compositions which took place at Shoreham's Ropetackle Arts Centre - home to many LongMan activities.

Sarah Walker on BBC Radio 3's "Classic Collection" has just played Richard's track "The Sleep of a King" resulting in many emails to the office here at LongMan Records. So to answer all questions in one go:
The track is on Richard's "Music from the Colourdome" album and was written for his oldest son Django who is now 7. Richard's next gig is with the RPO this Saturday, 10th April, at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley performing the Rodrigo's Aranjuez guitar concerto. He then continues touring around the UK with his solo show "The Guitar Whisperer".

Demolition Sky's "1202" receives great reviews in both this month's Acoustic Magazine (April 2010, Issue 40) and Rock n Reel Magazine....
Acoustic Magazine April 2010:
"The sound on this album is intimate and relaxed, with double bass, keyboards and cello supporting Mark and Alistair's twin acoustic guitars and harmony vocals. While this makes the album quiet on a first listen, repeated playing reveals the depth and richness of the music. The ten tracks seem to blend one into the next, like chapters in a book, each phrase contributing to the larger dialogue of the album as a whole. This isn't just a grab bag of random songs: this is definitely a collection, with its own identity and tone. Highlights include the title track's paean to lunar exploration, the small-town alienation of 'Demolition Sky', and the quiet longing for escape that underpins 'Cowboy Song'." Gareth L Powell
Rock N Reel Magazine review March / April 2010
3 Out of 5 stars for '1202' : 'Can I leave this to maybe next year to review, please? No? Oh, well...the thing is that these are not songs you can really say much about on just a few listens. Rather, they're songs that sneak up on you - songs that you don't notice while you're checking your e-mail or feeding the cat, but that later in the day you find yourself humming without really knowing where they came from. Essentially a duo of Mark Collyer (vocals, guitar, piano) and Alistair Mackie (vocals , guitar, mandolin) but augmented by bass, drums and Hammond, everything here is tasteful, neatly crafted and damn fine. Wrapped in Summer haziness, the two voices float and bob along on a carpet of laid back acoustic guitars, that have more of the West Coast of the US about them than they do of South East England. Lightly rootsy and understated, Demolition Sky is a band that, with seeming ease, demonstrates that less isn't more: its rather better.' Oz Hardwick
